On July 30th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., join us for a special time of Visit, Worship, and Praise at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. In the spirit of faith, freedom, and moral courage, we will gather at this historic landmark to lift our voices in worship, offer prayers for our nations and communities, and reflect on the enduring values of justice, unity, and reverence for God. Surrounded by history and watched by visitors from around the world, this will be a powerful public expression of faith, gratitude, and hope.

And I think down through the age, I think of the father of our nation, George Washington, how he trusted God. I think of Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln, of course, I don’t…I’m not a politician, but Lincoln was my favorite amongst all the presidents we’ve ever had. He had to come up the hard way. Maybe because I had to come that way is the reason I sympathize with Lincoln: splitting rails, and writing in the dirt, and—and so forth. And the only books that, we believe, that Lincoln ever had until he was twenty-one years old was the Bible and the Foxe Book of Martyrs. That’s what molded that character.
